The features of this user friendly design include, a 320x240 color resolution interface, an audible alarm option, a

multi-lingual function, password protect capabilities, uniform temperature with accurate control, multiple removable carrier

tray options for efficient assembly, Celsius/Fahrenheit option and the multiple mode curing functions below:

  • Temperature Hold mode, allows the operator to hold a desired temperature  
  • Timed mode allows for the user to select a temperature set point and operation time for the oven cure cycle
  • Twin Time mode allows the user to select a temperature set point with a pause, continue for the oven cure cycle
  • Step & Ramp mode lets the user select up to four (4) temperature set points followed by time values with linear ramp settings allowing the oven to operate in a programmable mode over an extended period of time

Domaille Engineering Completes Acquisition of OptiSpec® Microscope Product Line

Rochester, MN, September 3, 2013 – Domaille Engineering today announced it has completed the acquisition of the OptiSpec microscope line from Micro Enterprises.  The OptiSpec microscope line offers customers high quality production fiber optic inspection capability.  Domaille Engineering will be manufacturing and producing the OptiSpec microscopes in its Rochester, Minnesota facility.

Domaille Engineering LLC announces new Business Development Manager

Rochester, MN, August1, 2013– Dean Krueger has joined the Domaille Engineering team as the Business Development Manager of the Rochester, MN plant. Prior to taking on this role, Mr. Krueger served as Business Development Manager for SMC Ltd in Somerset, WI where he managed new business capture and technology development efforts for key customer accounts in medical devices and pharmaceutical industries.

Mr. Krueger has held numerous positions throughout his 25 year career in manufacturing. He has a broad breadth of experience, ranging from operations management to business development, across multiple markets including Medical Device, Defense, and Aerospace.

As the Business Development Manager, Krueger’s primary responsibility will be the direction and management of Domaille Engineering’s medical market sales. Throughout his career he has demonstrated success in consistently growing revenues and margins, building strong customer relationships, and solidifying market share.

“Dean has an excellent record in the medical market and brings strong experience to Domaille Engineering. He will be a huge asset in further strengthening Domaille’s leadership team,” states Donald Hickerson, Domaille VP of Business Development. Domaille Engineering LLC announces Product Development Manager

Rochester, MN, June 17, 2013– John Hagen, PE has joined the Domaille Engineering team as the new Product Development Manager for the Rochester, MN plant. Prior to taking on this role, Mr. Hagen was Lead Engineer and Program Manager for the IBM Solution Technology Center in Rochester, MN

Mr. Hagen has held numerous positions throughout his 18 year career in technology and manufacturing. He has a broad breadth of experience, ranging from robotics, optics, non-contact inspection methods, ISO 13485 Quality Systems, analog and digital electronics design, software/firmware design, and Patent prosecution.

In his new role, Mr. Hagen’s main responsibilities will revolve around the application of new technologies to enhance existing Domaille products and overseeing new product development to continue the growth of the Domaille brand.

Domaille Engineering LLC announces new VP of Operations

Rochester, MN, January 2, 2013– Tim Kanne has joined the Domaille Engineering team as the new Vice President of Operations for the Rochester, MN plant. Prior to taking on this role, Mr. Kanne served as Sr. Program Manager for Remmele Engineering in Big Lake, MN where he managed new business capture and technology development efforts for key customer accounts in the Aerospace and Defense division.

Mr. Kanne has held numerous positions throughout his 25 year career in contract manufacturing. He has a broad breadth of experience, ranging from placing second in the NTMA’s national apprenticeship contest to serving as Engineering Manager with multiple facility responsibility.

In his new role, Kanne’s main responsibilities include ensuring achievement of operational excellence goals as well as overseeing new product development to continue the growth of the Domaille brand. 

“Tim is truly an asset to our organization. He has the type of creativity and dedicated talent every company desires,” said Jim Frazer, President. “Tim has a distinguished track record of building strong management teams that makes him a perfect fit for the position.”  

 

Domaille Engineering announces new Quality Assurance Manager

Daniel Schlinger has joined the Domaille Engineering team as the new Quality Manager for the Rochester, MN plant. Prior to taking on this role, Mr. Schlinger served as Quality Specialist at Rochester Medical Corporation in Stewartville, MN where he lead efforts for FDA 510(k) compliance on new product development efforts, along with auditing critical suppliers for compliance to FDA CFR Title 21 Part 820, ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 quality systems requirements.

Mr. Schlinger has extensive experience as a Quality Assurance manager and machine shop supervisor in various Midwest and East Coast organizations. He has led multiple plants through FDA, ISO certification and Nadcap accreditation. He also directed compliance efforts for the European Medical Device and Canadian Medical Device Directives.

Mr. Schlinger’s new responsibilities are to accurately measure the Quality System to determine effectiveness, initiate effective corrective action as needed and update Quality System requirements for ISO 13485 compliance and certification. “I’m very pleased that Dan will be joining Domaille Engineering. He brings a tremendous wealth of knowledge to our management team. With his addition, we now have the tools and expertise to move forward as a leader for Life Science equipment and devices,” states Jim Frazer, President of Domaille Engineering. click here

Domaille Engineering announces new Fiber Optic Polishing Machine

Domaille Engineering is proud to announce that they have developed and formally released the new Domaille Engineering brand APM-HDC-5200 fiber optic polishing machine.

This new fiber optic polishing machine is the latest in the long line of innovative polishing solutions for the telecommunications and medical industries. The APM-HDC-5200 machine replaces the APM-HDC-5100 machine that has proven to the most precise and reliable machine produced in the world today. The APM-HDC-5200 machine has many unique user features which will save time and money for customers. These new features include programmable pressure and speed ramp up for controlled slow starting of the polishing cycle. The pressure has been increased to12 pounds to accommodate more connectors featured in the AbraSave™ fixture line. 

Domaille has also incorporated automated polishing film counters to notify users when it is time to change the polishing film and a fully programmable maintenance section to alert the user when maintenance items should be performed.

Domaille Engineering announces new EZ Bare Fiber Polishing Fixture

Domaille Engineering is proud to announce that they have developed the EZ Bare Fiber Polishing Fixture.

This fixture was designed based off customer requests for an easy method to polish end face geometry on bare optical fiber, needles, laser tubes and fragile micro diameter products. This fixture features the patented AbraSave™ technology which applies a unique path to each fiber during the polishing process. The EZ Bare Fiber Fixture uses an SMA connector and a custom adapter to hold the micro diameter products. The fixture can be used to polish a wide range of products from 125μm to 750 μm diameter.

Domaille Engineering Announces New EZ-Check Precision Wear Gage Kit.

Rochester, MN, July 8, 2010 – Domaille Engineering is proud to announce that they have developed the EZ-Check Precision Wear Gage kit.

This kit is used to measure specific interfaces between the Domaille Engineering Optical Fiber Polishing Machine, fixture and fiber optic ferrules. Kit includes an easy to use gage for measuring machine mandrel wear, plus Go and NO GO gages for validating fixture mounting holes and 1.25mm & 2.5mm ferrule holes.

Domaille Engineering Receives ITAR Certification

Domaille Engineering is proud to announce that they have received their International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) Registration.

The US Department of State directs the ITAR program, regulating the export and import of U.S. military and defense related equipment and information. Companies receiving this certification must possess the knowledge and understanding to fully comply with ITAR, and have corporate procedures and controls in place to ensure compliance. The ITAR Registration means that Domaille Engineering is able to fully support military and defense-related projects in the United States.

Domaille Engineering announces the new APM-HDC-2400 optical fiber polishing machine

Rochester, MN, March 9, 2009 – Domaille Engineering LLC, a worldwide provider of precision engineering and manufacturing services to technology industries and a leading manufacturer of optical fiber polishing equipment, is proud to introduce the APM-HDC-2400 optical fiber polishing machine.

This new optical fiber polishing machine is specially designed as an economic choice for polishing multimode connectors. According to Donald Hickerson, Vice President of Business Development, “The new APM-HDC-2400 machine fills the gap between our FPM-500 field polishing machine and our industry leading, technologically advanced APM-HDC-5100 polishing machine. It is designed for continuous production of multimode connectors.”

The APM-HDC-2400 machine has many of the same features as the APM-HDC-5100 machine including a touch screen control, pneumatic force control, programmable force, programmable time and a cable management system.

This optical fiber polishing machine can be use to produce both angled and straight optical fiber multimode connectors and will work with all existing Domaille Engineering polishing fixtures including the new ABRASAVE™ optical fiber polishing fixture line.
