One such individual is Daniel Hirschey, Business Unit CFO, whose work in finance has been instrumental in advancing our mission. With a passion for problem-solving, process improvement, and an eye toward innovation, Daniel is helping shape the future of Domaille Fiber Optics and the broader fiber optic industry.

A Journey in Finance and Manufacturing

Daniel joined ADDMAN in April 2023, bringing a wealth of experience in financial leadership. His career began with a Fortune 100 company in Global Business Services, where he worked as a financial analyst supporting senior leadership. Later, he moved into the manufacturing space, taking on roles that deepened his expertise in cost accounting and financial operations.

At a Wisconsin-based manufacturing company, Daniel specialized in New Product Introduction (NPI) P&Ls, eventually becoming Controller of a Global Innovation and Design Center, where he transformed the site into a profit center. The appeal of broader financial responsibility led Daniel to ADDMAN, where he has embraced the challenges and opportunities of managing the Fiber Optic business segment.

“I was initially more excited about the Aerospace and Defense work at Domaille, but as I learned more about fiber optics, I realized it’s the most exciting part of the business,” Daniel shares. “We’re building the highway for tomorrow’s data with our market-leading capital equipment.”

Leading Through Innovation

A self-proclaimed problem solver, Daniel thrives on tackling challenges that make a tangible impact. His role as Business Unit CFO is far from routine. On any given day, Daniel might be tracking cash flow, troubleshooting ERP issues, managing payroll, or preparing financial forecasts and reports for the executive team.

Recently, Daniel led the finance team on an M&A project and is now focused on improving processes to support the growth of the fiber optic segment. “I’m researching tools to streamline finance operations, including exploring ways to enhance our ERP capabilities,” he explains.

His work in continuous improvement has also been a significant contribution to Domaille’s mission. By collaborating with the engineering team and the Director of Continuous Improvement, Daniel ensures the company is pursuing cost-effective manufacturing strategies that reduce waste and improve order fulfillment.

“Whether it’s automating Excel tools or developing reports, I always look for ways to reduce manual work and increase efficiency,” says Daniel. “It’s a small effort for me, but it has a big impact on the teams that rely on these tools.”

Driving Growth in Fiber Optics

The fiber optic industry is evolving rapidly, and Daniel sees tremendous potential for Domaille Fiber Optics to lead the charge. Historically driven by Telecom demand, the industry is now expanding into AI data centers, Defense, and MedTech applications.

“Fiber optics is at the core of enabling advancements like AI and IoT,” Daniel explains. “With demand rising across multiple industries, the growth potential for fiber optic capital equipment is extraordinary.”

Daniel is also excited about the role of AI in finance, particularly in automating repetitive tasks like reporting and analysis. “AI allows us to focus on what truly matters—manufacturing high-quality products for our customers.”

Life Beyond the Office

Outside of work, Daniel enjoys spending time outdoors. “I like taking my dog to the park and walking through the woods,” he shares. A fan of DIY projects, Daniel often tackles home improvement tasks—even if they don’t always go as planned. “Worst case, I can call the professionals,” he jokes.

His love for manufacturing also inspires him personally. “I’ve always been drawn to roles in manufacturing because it’s fulfilling to see the products you support,” Daniel says. “At Domaille, we’re creating tools that enable the most advanced form of data transmission. It’s exciting to know that our work impacts the quality of life for people everywhere.”
