Domaille utilizes an innovative Friction Stir Welding (FSW) process to satisfy unique thermal challenges.

FSW is the process of solid-state joining of metal in either a lap or butt joint configuration. This joining is accomplished by traversing a shouldered tool with stir pin along the joint, which creates the pressure and friction necessary to accomplish the mixing/kneading of material.

Friction Stir Welding produces superior joint strength without post weld heat treat typical of a fusion welding process.
