Domaille Engineering's long history of successful solutions through process development is a direct result of our understanding of the product life cycle, from concept through to end-of-life (EOL). We are comfortable engaging at any phase, and will either help you through your entire product life cycle or with just the steps you choose.
Concept - Collaborative Engineering Support
We form partnerships with our customers, working closely together to ensure that we identify all of the project's requirements, and clearly define the criteria for success. We keep in mind the intended function, cost objectives, technological risks, and time to market in generating multiple ideas that would achieve those objectives. We also develop a decision matrix that helps you pick the best solution for your product. Our culture of problem solving with our customers yields multiple potential solutions with a high degree of confidence that the chosen concept will produce the desired results.
Design - Process Development
As the concept transitions to a design, we assist with material selection, part design, tolerancing, and metrology requirements. Domaille Engineering then develops a detailed metrology plan, and from that a detailed manufacturing process plan. From these plans we can develop an accurate analysis of the cost of the BOM and manufacturing process, and evaluate the timeline requirements.
Prototype - Design and Process Validation
Once a concept has been chosen, and the design work has resulted in metrology and process plans, prototypes can be built to your exact standards for your product viability studies. In addition, the prototype phase is used by us to evaluate our metrology and manufacturing process plans. We are striving to validate manufacturing quality, costs, technology development, BOM and vendor selection in this prototype stage.
Production - Qualification & Production
When it's time to transition to production, Domaille Engineering qualifies the metrology and manufacturing processes to verify their integrity against the quality and delivery requirements of the production phase of your project. During production, we use our metrology plan to control the manufacturing processes to enable consistent, industry-leading quality standards, even on your most demanding specifications. The resulting repeatability and reliability of production quality, coupled with our project management skills, ensures the most cost-effective overall production solution for your project.
End-of-Life
When you have reached the EOL (End-Of-Life) phase of your product, Domaille Engineering will work with you to understand your goals and objectives in phasing out production of this product. We will then help you to successfully execute your EOL plans.
